Helping adults, parents, and professionals in Illinois heal anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges — through a personalized, compassionate, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) – informed approach.

Life can be overwhelming. You might be navigating deep stress, emotional exhaustion, or a transition that has shaken your sense of stability. You may find yourself constantly caring for others, but unsure how to prioritize yourself. If you’re feeling anxious, shut down, stuck, or simply off — you’re not alone. And you don’t have to carry it all by yourself.
I’m Courtney Bowman, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with nearly 20 years of experience helping people reconnect to their calm, compassionate center —helping people reconnect to their calm, compassionate and wise center. My clients describe me as sturdy, calm, and kind. My practice is intentionally small so I can offer the warmth, personal attention, and support that’s often missing in large group practices.
Personalized therapy and coaching for adults, parents, and professionals in Glen Ellyn and virtually across Illinois. Find clarity, healing, and connection—whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship stress. You don’t have to do this alone.

We’ll gently explore the parts of you carrying pain, worry, or self-doubt. Together, we’ll create space for relief and self-compassion—so you can move forward feeling more whole and at ease.

Parenting is hard, and you don’t have to do it alone. I offer practical tools and heartfelt support, blending therapy and real-life strategies to help you respond to your kids—and yourself—with confidence.

Hard times don’t define you. IFS therapy offers a gentle path through trauma, grief, or big changes—helping you rediscover your strength and move forward with hope.

Whether you’re facing conflict or want deeper connection, I use proven methods to help you build trust, repair what’s frayed, and nurture relationships that feel safe and meaningful.
“Be a present parent. Be a high performer. Be calm. Be productive. Be everything, all the time.”
Many parents — especially mothers — are quietly carrying the impossible expectations placed on them by society. If you’re feeling guilt, resentment, anxiety, or failure in the face of these demands, I see you. You’re not broken. You’re responding to an unsustainable system.

This is a solo practice — not a clinic. That means you’ll always communicate directly with me. You can call or text me when needed, and our work will move at the pace that feels right to you. Most of my clients work with me over the long term, but even short-term work can create meaningful change.
